The Ambulance Service
This is available 24 hours a day for any emergency. Call 000 for assistance. You will be asked to provide information about the patient and your location, including the nearest corner intersection.
After Hours Care
If you require medical care outside of the normal practice hours please contact our after-hours provider, National Home Doctor Service 137425.
Doctors On Centre is a Private Billing clinic and we require full payment of your account on the day of your visit. We are able to process your Medicare refund immediately through our on line or tyro facility. We accept cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS. If you are being bulk billed, you will need to present your medicare card and assign your medicare rebate to the doctor consulted.
Pensioners and Health Care Card holders are charged a fee of $54.05 for a standard consultation on Monday to Friday. Medicare will rebate $37.05 leaving a gap of $17. This fee will apply for the 1st and 2nd Visit of the month. Any further visits required in the calendar month will be bulk billed. Visits on Saturday attract a gap of $22.
Adult patients are charged a fee of $64.05 for a standard consultation on Monday to Friday. Medicare will rebate $37.05 leaving a gap of $27. This fee will apply for the 1st and 2nd Visit of the month. Any further visits required in the calendar month will be bulk billed. Visits on Saturday attract a gap fee of $32.
Overseas patients without a Medicare Card, and with NIB Overseas Visitors Health Cover, will not be charged an out of pocket fee.
As children become ill very often, and it can be difficult to distinguish serious illness from minor ones, we bulk bill children aged 16 and under for consultations Monday to Saturday. .
All Veteran Affairs card holders will be bulk billed.
Different fees apply for longer visits, more complicated ones and for procedures such as removing moles. Information on the current private fees charged is available at reception.
Medical Reports and consultations concerning established Workers Compensation and Third Party claims will be charged in accordance with the AMA Fee List.
Please check with your GP regarding any out-of-pocket expenses incurred for specialist referrals, X-rays, etc.
